Parking

Hotel parking

Hotel Noreg sells 11 spots for outdoor parking that cannot be booked in advance. They are located approx. 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel. If you are interested in parking there, we recommend standing with your car directly in front of the entrance door on the left side of Kongens gate (one-way street). Come in to reception and ask for availability. You can pay by card at the reception, and all we need is the registration number of the car and your telephone number.

Street parking

Please note that there is also free street parking in several streets around the hotel: e.g. Kongens gate, Tollbugata, Skansegata and Sorenskriver Bulls gate (Zone: 7120 Gateparkering Ålesund). This applies from 16:00 to 08:00 from Monday to Saturday, and its free all Sundays and public holidays. You can also extend this street parking by 2 hours (e.g. from 14:00 or until 10:00).

Other car parks & electric car charging

The nearest indoor car park is Aksla Parkering with exit in Kongens gate. It is also the closest option for charging electric cars. In addition, there are several other car parks nearby such as Hjelsetgården.

Food and restaurants

We serve fast food (pizza, panini, toast) around the clock. For a proper dinner, we recommend booking a table at the great restaurants around us. Especially in the period May-September and on Sundays and public holidays, it may be a good idea. You will find most restaurants within 15 minutes' walking distance around us. And then it must be said that Ålesund is particularly famous for fish, "potetball" on Thursdays and "mørpølse"-sausage.
